Loafing Around

I wasn’t entirely sure where (more correctly who) I was slanting this advent activity towards when I started baking. I saw a reciepe, had the ingredients and went for it.

It’s a fruit bread; for those that kind of but don’t really like fruit cake. It’s sort of like a hot cross bun at Christmas as a bread. It’s kind of heavy and I’m not sure if that was all the fruit (and lord I forgot the raisons in the end) or if it under proofed or over baked or all of the above. But, having said all that, it’s actually really good!

I created two packages and delivered them today to front line workers. Not your average front line workers that people say “oh there is a front line worker but two men in our lives that have not stopped working. Neither fire protection services (sprinkler systems maintenance) or automobile parts get any press about keeping the world going but they are both essential. So to all the unsung heroes out there let’s all give them a little something this season and I don’t mean hassles.
