#Blueskiesandsunshine

My favourite hashtag is #blueskiesandsunshine and that’s what yesterday was all about. Not so much today but I try hard, sometimes unsuccessfully, not to whine about the weather.

Yesterday’s walk in the sunshine, even with the wind, was so much nicer than today’s walk in the howling wind with driving snow. This despite the fact that the temperature is about 10 degrees warmer.

Look at all the pretties in the squares above. Sunshine, snow, shadows and a heck of a trek to break trail. But so worth it. The dogs had a blast of course and I only lost my balance twice in deep stuff. Definitely worthy of a #walkingsquares post!

Today we opted to head back into the ravine to escape the wind. Dull and gray with leaves lying around that weren’t there yesterday. It seemed weird to hear the rustle of leaves in the depth of a winter wonderland.

Not a single photo from today. I groused my way through getting dressed up and got out the door to crazy dog let’s go antics. It was worth it and now I can go eat dessert(s) and feel like I earned a few of the calories!

I have had a love of the written word for my entire life. It's no surprise that eventually I found a platform where I could write. It's random; sometimes funny, occasionally sad, maybe even at times from anger and I lean towards creative photography and hands on crafts. I have a few blogs that high light these interests.

    1. I love delicious delights! Too much so as my weight attests to. Which means I need to walk or bike or swim to eat them! Thanks for reading Becky and commenting — the challenge must keep you really busy! Bernie

      1. It’s so much harder as we age to keep off those pounds and so I try to avoid goodies for the most part but sometimes… one just has to have “it”.

      2. Oh yes Becky imagine what we could be addicted to. I find I crave carbs in the winter with the darkness. Sorry for the tardy response – I lost myself inside a book! Bernie

    1. We’ve been in Palm Springs and felt the wind there whip the sand. Very unpleasant so it doesn’t have to be cold to dislike howling winds.

  1. Agreed. Wednesday’s frozen wind was a killer here. We had to attend a funeral and the wind was relentless at the grave side. Winter is so much easier to bear when the winds die down.
