It gives me great pleasure to do a #Thursdaydoors post as Europe provides such a selection. I am doubling down and adding in #ThrowbackThursday.

Even ordinary house doors don’t seem very “ordinary”.

Just your average size cathedral doors… more than a little impressive!

If one is good, then three is better, right?

Fortress doors. Don’t hang a left… leads to the dungeon.

Palace size seems to be the ultimate in super-sized!

And that’s a wrap. Oh wait, I am sure there must be one more.

I hope you enjoyed this picture heavy word light look at doors in Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, and Czechia.

This post was A-door-able Bernie. I also like to take photos of doors and windows in the places we go. Quebec City and Dublin have been the best for me so far. Cheers. Allan

Thanks, Miriam. I didn’t take the pictures with those trios in front, but when I was pulling it together, that’s how they fell into place. There just seems to be no shortage of amazing doors in Europe! Thanks for stopping by and for engaging here. Bernie

You’re welcome, Bernie. It’s a very creative way of presenting them. Architecture is one of the things I appreciate when we visit Europe.

Absolutely love the architecture. The other thing I love over there is the variety of food! I blogged about that recently called https://equipoiselife.wordpress.com/2023/06/08/woyp-europe-edition/. So so good!!

I know, when we were in Germany, I love the bread with all kinds of nuts on top.
In Belgium, I wanted to try the waffle but I couldn’t after I had a big meal. I’ll check out your post.

Isn’t it stunning in sheer size and yet still manages to have character. Thanks for stopping by Tanja and for the comment. Bernie

This is a varied and fantastic collection of doors. The scale of those doors is amazing, more than twice as tall as the man standing next to it. Ordinary, extraordinary, but all good. Thanks for sharing them with Thursday Doors.

And that man, my other half, is 6 feet tall. That’s why I made him stand there. I think it was one of the biggest doors we’ve seen. Glad you like the collection. I had fun pulling it together. Bernie

You noticed! Yes, I couldn’t resist walking thru it. Did you notice that I caught a biker right dead center? It’s not my husband – he was just patiently waiting for me.

Your door photos are wonderful and varied. I like the Ordinary Doors that to me seem extraordinary. I’d like to live in a house with ordinary doors like those.

I totally agree with you Ally! They seem pretty special compared to most of our N.A. doors. Bernie

Of course you know I’ll love this post. I Love Doors too. These are lovely. I take so many photos of doors. Last month my cousin posted a door on FB and wrote “for your friend Beverly … who loves doors!” I tagged you and laughed.
I really love the last door. Thanks.
