I’m in Arizona and we have a barrel cactus in our yard. Looked at your photo and thought, “How on earth does Bernie have a barrel cactus that survives a Sask winter?” Then I took the time to read the caption and realized what looked like a barrel cactus was actually the little boy’s tuque! 😂

And now I’m trying to see how it would look like a barrel cactus! Nice to hear from you, Lorna. I hope you are enjoying your warm winter like I am enjoying our wonderful snowy one. Sun is now out so I’m in a perfect mood! Bernie

And now I know what a barrel cactus looks like as I goggled it and I can definitely see the resemblance!

Oh we fell and hopped and chased and slide and we were Tigger and Eeyore and Pooh. We were trackers and giants and monsters. We were all sorts of things and it was wonderful! 2 1/2 hours purely playing outside. My heart was full!

We were outside for 2 1/2 hours and had such fun. His jacket and toque were like the only colour in the landscape. Bernie

If only we could all hang onto that gorgeous sense of wonder and curiosity. We have much to learn from little tackers!

Ah, we had such a fun afternoon playing outside. At 3, he finds joy and wonder in everything and has boundless energy. It was wonderful and almost made up for the lack of sunshine! Good to hear from you, Heidi. Bernie
