Instead of the theme “2 the moon” it felt like we might as well be on the moon. Another wee one’s birthday celebrated in the great outdoors. The public health orders not lifted as some of us had anticipated and so add one more thing to the Covid19 casualty list.

Flat white – my style
White on white
Such bright in sight
Enough white to excite.

Such a sight, so bright
so excited over white

I had/have this crazy idea that I would spend a bit of time this winter doing “homework”. It seems there is a plethora of it this winter but I am quite certain spring will have sprung and I will not have done an ounce of what I set out to do in regards to this particular list.

It is entirely possible I will struggle with the link but I did want to participate (for the first time ever) in #SundayStills. The prompt this week is #RosyReds and that struck me as so timely today that I wanted to hop on the band wagon. Now if I can just pull it all together!

I went down a complete WordPress rabbit hole the other day. One blog post and the comments sent to another blogger to another to another. I read for quite some time. I came across a “new to me” form of poetry. It is actually a centuries old Japanese non rhyme syllable based word play.

Time Rise
I love sunrises
Pastel swirls around the sky
Clouds unfurl downward
Time ticks along irregardless
Up to us to use wisely
