The pandemic races onwards, picking up a head of steam like a hurricane. The numbers here in Canada are low compared to some worldwide but they are climbing here so quickly. This is an incredibly worrisome trend. Although the lockdown has been lifted worldwide we all need to limit our movements and keep our bubbles small. I can tell you that there is a lot of it I just don’t get it. Unfortunately I know that I’m blogging to those who feel the same so it’s not going to change anything but I still have to say it. Played hooky
I played hooky yesterday afternoon. Sure there were weeds in the garden that could have been picked. I know for sure there were definitely shingles that could have come off that roof. Raspberries were ripening fast but still I did it. Summer is short and a certain little girl asked Nan too come play in her pool.

Somewhere in the vicinity a smoker worked its magic and while it smelt amazing I had no appetite for meat at that moment. I was literally standing in my kind of heaven on earth.

There is one thing I never do in the summer. Or so it seems and with Covid there is even less reason. So when the construction dust settles it seems to settle deeply as I rarely clean the house in the summer. I’ve stated many times that I wish, for the summer, we had a house keeper. This year is particularly bad as without house guests or supper parties I can’t even find a reason to wipe up that dust.
