Days off

Once again my other half was right. I guess it doesn’t surprise me. When we planned this

adventure I was gung-ho to ski every day and he was like “nope” we need to build in a few days off. This of course has a different connotation if one works full-time but the joy of semi retired is that we don’t! We also don’t take days off at home as there is always something to work on there. Which is what makes this so fabulous.

We’ve truly enjoyed some R & R during these days off from skiing. We’ve been working on some puzzles and binge watching The Crown on Netflix. He’s been into his on line game and I’ve been sucked down into the blog world and Instagram.

I have spent a few hours working on organizing our recipe files while enjoying the view down the valley.

We haven’t been total slouches as we’ve also gone snow shoeing or walking on our rest days. Need to do that to balance all that good food we eat and to keep our muscles moving. We’ve also been somewhat good to the local economy and have done a bit of meandering and purchasing of small items on the wonderful main street of Fernie. It has such an eclectic selection of businesses that it’s always fun to wander.
There is no doubt in my mind that we are living the good life.

I have had a love of the written word for my entire life. It's no surprise that eventually I found a platform where I could write. It's random; sometimes funny, occasionally sad, maybe even at times from anger and I lean towards creative photography and hands on crafts. I have a few blogs that high light these interests.
