Whoops of Delight

It’s with great pleasure that I announce

that Little A likes to go fast! This is an important fact in a family that loves to ski, skate and sled. There were whoops of delight this morning from both “girls” as we careened down the hill on the toboggan.

Last evening’s toboggan ride (aka dog walk) was a preclude to going fast down the hill. Last year she had been hesitate so it was just a tiny push last night down a little hill which she liked. I knew from last week’s Trim the Tree trip that she liked a bit of speed in the sled now. But the very nature of a toboggan is the unruly aspect of the ride. So last night Grampa read to her about

Today we used the big hill and had so much fun. We went for several rides and she even insisted on pulling it up for a short ways. She did one run with Grampa as well.

When we designed the Advent Calender we accounted for the fact that all three of us are lucky enough to be “hands on” Gramma’s. So we accounted for that by including activities that suit small children and for small children at heart.♥️

I’m so glad we did. The last two days have recharged my soul and added two wonderful ticks to my advent activities.

Bernie (aka Nan)

PS part two was to appreciate an evening meal with friends and that’s just what we plan to do. A pot luck with our soccer team is what’s up next after our early soccer game.

I have had a love of the written word for my entire life. It's no surprise that eventually I found a platform where I could write. It's random; sometimes funny, occasionally sad, maybe even at times from anger and I lean towards creative photography and hands on crafts. I have a few blogs that high light these interests.
