Fell Together

This week two very dear friends of mine turned around

and they were 60 (within a few days of each other). They have both had profound impacts on my life and I wanted to mark this occasion for them.

I wanted something unique, like our friendships. I wanted to give a gift from my heart. I just didn’t know what it was and it felt like time was running out.

Then something floated into my consciousness as I was drifting off to sleep Tuesday night. It’s now Friday night and both gifts are completed. One late (especially with travel time to it’s location) and one early. I’m very pleased with my creative endeavors; especially seems I made all the cuts and did all the construction by myself. In the final stage I only ended up with two burns which is decent really because hot glue guns and little items always lead to ouchies.

They are similiar in concept but quite different in execution; not quite like chalk and cheese but certainly unique like our friendships. There is significance to each one that the recipient will instantly recognize. When they spend time in their gardens I hope their hearts will swell with joy when they look at these gifts.

I have had a love of the written word for my entire life. It's no surprise that eventually I found a platform where I could write. It's random; sometimes funny, occasionally sad, maybe even at times from anger and I lean towards creative photography and hands on crafts. I have a few blogs that high light these interests.
