I’m quite sure I’ve used this title before but really it is the best gig
around. This week the added bonus to 6 hours alone with both my littles was sharing a Gramma playdate with a good friend (who used to be regular blog reader that left comments) and her Baby A. We took in the zoo together and hit the playground. The train is closed for the season so that made Little A a bit sad but she was a trooper about walking around.
We followed this with Nan and the littles do lunch. This activity reminded me to be impressed that my daughter eats many meals alone with them! It was a titch busy.
We then hit the library for play time and a couple of books. An ice cream cone rounded out the afternoon before I took them home to momma. She’s given up her nap but these activities wore her out and it was a sleepy kiss I got as I left.
This is the #1 best part of retirement — the time to really connect with my grandchildren. I’m so blessed that they live close by and that my daughter is receptive to this. I’m already looking forward to next week!

Now that our kids are too old for our annual trip to the zoo, we enjoy taking our 4 nieces before they are all grown up. How time flies.

I can remember taking my kids. Time is both infinite and finite.

Won’t this be fun as they grow for the next few years! And Little A saying Baby Aubree — how adorable!
