Nailed It

Between being goal orientated and a time constraint we totally nailed our

morning activity. For a couple of “seniors” who haven’t biked much this summer we totally nailed that 50 km ride. We managed it in 2 hours & 14 mins. Now while that didn’t put us anywhere near the front of the pack it did see us completing it right on time.

Today is one of those over booked days that occur in life sometimes. Which means after a super quick lunch we headed 2+ hours south to make a soccer play off game. Where the Dodgers nailed it with a decisive 4-2 win to clinch the title for their division. It was a lovely afternoon to watch soccer and as it wasn’t my legs running I was ok!

Then onward to the soccer wind up party at our house! Where the wind was absent and the company was outstanding. It was a perfect end to a jam packed day! Not a stitch of balance in the day but I don’t think it matters! The day was filled with fitness, friends, blue skies and a strong sense of purpose.

I have had a love of the written word for my entire life. It's no surprise that eventually I found a platform where I could write. It's random; sometimes funny, occasionally sad, maybe even at times from anger and I lean towards creative photography and hands on crafts. I have a few blogs that high light these interests.

  1. Great job Bernie. Sometimes, as seniors, we do not give ourselves enough credit. All you have to do is start. It is amazing how busy retirement can keep one. Allan
