This seems like a good day to tell you that Ron and I have a new BFF. Her name is
Agnes although I often prefer Aggie, especially when she’s done something outrageously cool.
Agnes is our first experience with a SAT NAV you see and we’ve found her most helpful. This is our fourth trip to England and we’ve always gotten by with just our map book. It has occasionally been stressful but we’ve never gotten seriously lost so we weren’t convinced that we needed her.
I had one previous experience with a mobile GPS and it spent a lot of time vocalizing that it was recalculating. Not so with Agnes. If we make a change she adjust quietly on the fly.
Shes pretty hysterical on switch back roads though. She reads them as corners and tells you to turn right or left when any other action would send you off a cliff or into a hillside. I’m not certain the video will load but it’s pretty funny.
Lots of time she’s quiet which Ron appreciates. She’s compatible with his blue tooth music. She makes my life a lot easier in complex areas but in the easy north of Scotland we didn’t use her much. She’s got a few bells and whistles for sure. Probably way too many for small city country life in Canada. Here in England she’s been a trust companion and has allowed for a little bit more down time.
It seems like the video has loaded sideways // it’s late and I don’t have the techie know how to fix it right now. It will probably make you dizzy but it’s pretty funny.
