A Bracing Walk

These boots didn’t do all that much walking today as we spent the am catching up on some much needed

sleep. It seems being horizontal versus sitting makes a world of difference to my sleep quality.

We did manage one bracing seaside walk. I suspect my cousin would have skipped it for sure if her Canadian cousin hadn’t been visiting.

We’re visiting in the Lincolnshire area which seems firmly in the agricultural zone. But it turns out that the North Sea isn’t very far away. So off we went to the resort town of Cleethorpes. Where the wind was definitely in evidence but hey there was no rain! Quite a nice beach area but it should be noted, by the local cousin, that the town is a bit dodgy.

They have a cool mini track railroad which makes sense as the town was created in the 1880’s by the railroad company. This was a common Victorian era activity; going to the ocean for the weekend. Hence the really cool pier theatre which is now an award winning fish and chips restaurant. You guessed it; we had an early supper there.

A quiet evening watching football (soccer to my regular readers) which suited us all. The boots will pick up some speed tomorrow.

I have had a love of the written word for my entire life. It's no surprise that eventually I found a platform where I could write. It's random; sometimes funny, occasionally sad, maybe even at times from anger and I lean towards creative photography and hands on crafts. I have a few blogs that high light these interests.
