You would think by the title it was a blog about retired life. It’s not that at all. It’s about our reliance on technology. You see I have zero idea what time it actually is right now. I can give you a ball park idea but that’s it.
I haven’t worn a watch in 35 years, since I quit ward nursing and even then I wore it very sporadically. Fast forward to the cell phone and the fact that we always know what time it is. BUT if your cell phone is out of control then you are hooped.
I’ve sent my current cell phone in for warranty camera repairs. I’m using an old iPhone that isn’t that happy with life and I can’t even do an update. So it’s either 4:57 or 5:02. All day long.
It makes being on time a challenge because my SUV had a small incident a few years ago when I was using it as a truck and hauling long stuff. SO I have no clock in my vehicle.
It’s amazing that 2 times now I’ve arrived exactly on time for my appointments. I leave at an appropriate time and hope for the best!

After I posted this realized that the calendar is stuck on April 2nd; the day I turned the phone back on.
