Count Downs

There are so many countdowns swirling around in my head that I have to focus on which one is being referenced in current conversation. That all just puts me squarely in the blessing department. So full of gratitude at all the positives in my life.

The one most people are referencing is my retirement from full time hospital employment. I’m still not counting on days because to me that means shifts. Our rotation for January isn’t out and I have to plunk in my vacation time. Once that’s done and I can count shifts the real count down will start. At this moment it is apparently early 69 days till January 25,2019. I just k is that any cautery filter I put in place will expire after I’ve left these halls.

There’s also a countdown to the December special addition Advent calendar that my friend and I are collaborating one. We are striving to balance our blessings with our busyness to reflect a month that leads up to Christmas as one of gratitude on many levels.

After Christmas the focus will shift to 60 reasons that 60 is awesome, aka the big birthday count down. My once a year lunch with friends and then a family supper. Calls, texts and visits with so many wonderful people in my life. What’s not to love about that day?

Can you believe there is more? There is, because we are already “booking” our places to stay for our 3 week ski trip!! Yes not 3 days but 3 weeks! We won’t ski every day but hope to average 4 days per hill x 3 or 4 hills!! That’s a lot of runs on these legs! Can you tell how excited I am by the exclamation marks I’m using? Our original plan was to settle down at Fernie for a month but for many reasons we are doing a circuit of resorts. How lucky are we!!

So many countdowns and I haven’t even touched on them all. The most immediate one happens soon! Stay tuned for blue skies update!

I have had a love of the written word for my entire life. It's no surprise that eventually I found a platform where I could write. It's random; sometimes funny, occasionally sad, maybe even at times from anger and I lean towards creative photography and hands on crafts. I have a few blogs that high light these interests.
