I spend a lot of time pulling weeds. A LOT OF TIME. I know I am never going to be weed free out here but I try to keep them down to a dull roar. Several friends have suggested that weeds are just flowers.
Flowers bloom where they are planted. Flowers take what the soil, rain and sun give them and grow. Some thrive and others languish. My friend, who recently started blogging has a post about this very thing and how you can take it to a deeper level. She’s a very creative and kind person that I am lucky to call my friend.
A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it, it just blooms.
I love this quote. I find too often I compare myself with others. Usually it’s just in my thoughts and I don’t express it but it tends to affect my self-confidence when I do. We all have unique talents and abilities. As I see the flowers beginning to bloom here, I will remind myself to ” bloom where I am planted”.
A four day busy work week has left me exhausted on this misty cool Friday evening. I’m pouring over the June calendar trying to get organized.
