Lucky One

Did you know that Notes on your phone doesn’t have a true save back up kind of button? Did you know that somehow you can inadvertently delete a Note without even knowing you’ve done it?😔😥😖

I wanted a haiku the other day for a post. Looked once. Looked twice. Went “what the he_ _?? Looked a third time. Closed the program. Opened it again. Looked a fourth time. Felt tears in my eyes.

It would seem that my 365 day journey of haikus had disappeared just like the Haiti Quilt Donation list. 😔😞😒Sad emojis for sure.

Then today, in the back of my head, as I was struggling to upload and clean up this phone so I could take more pictures (don’t ask how many I have on here)  a thought popped up. OLD PHONE! I did all the haikus on my old phone.

It’s sitting in the drawer dead as a door nail but it charged up just fine even though it apparently can’t tell time now. There on my old phone are all my haiku’s.😊😄😀 Do you think it’ll be as simple as plugging it into my computer to get them off? I seriously doubt it but that’s what I’m going to try.

Wish me luck or better yet tell me how!!!!

I have had a love of the written word for my entire life. It's no surprise that eventually I found a platform where I could write. It's random; sometimes funny, occasionally sad, maybe even at times from anger and I lean towards creative photography and hands on crafts. I have a few blogs that high light these interests.

  1. I would suggest hooking up to wifi, cutting and pasting the text, and then emailing it to yourself!!! Some Notes are backed up in the phone and some are backed up on your email. I’ve had them disappear seemingly inexplicably before, and I worry that if you sync your old phone with your new computer, it’s going to sync the notes and delete the old ones rather than adding them.

I’m not totally sure how it works, but I would be a little worried about going to the straight sync!!

    1. But I don’t have email on my phone — it’s some weird your link thing that the techs could never figure out. It does hook up to wifi. Yeah that sync thing won’t work cause it’s under Ron’s usask email which is dead so that’s a no go. I might ask my young techie friend what he thinks. Thanks for the idea.
