We finally have the bundle of joy we’ve been waiting for. Such delight. Arriving exactly when promised and in perfect condition.
I used those exact words last week to talk about our new fir trim and I fooled you all once. My plan was to do the same post again but via Facebook and with one word “congratulations” most of you already know that the real bundle of joy has arrived.
I’ve heard the word congratulations so many times. It seems like a milestone, becoming a grandparent, but it isn’t one that you have to work at to achieve. Big milestones like graduating post secondary or buying that first house are huge accomplishments full of self congratulatory pauses and accolades from others. Some milestones you saunter towards with no effort like the coveted 16th birthday or the dreaded 50th birthday. Becoming a grandparent means you’ve reached a few important milestones along the way and now are being rewarded.
The news was kept under wraps for a few days, by the request of the young lasses parents and we respected that. It was difficult not to sing it from the roof tops, pass around cigars and show off pictures. Needless to say we are head over heels in love.
