Almost There!

I believe that this post is self explanatory and doesn’t really require a lot of words. I debated waiting until it was complete in a few weeks but the completion of the foundation made me so excited that I just had to share it! I love the end look of it and am determined that we will get to the end of it the summer construction season!

The wall is now about 8 feet tall in front! You can see that the top portion needs the finese cleaning. Not only is the scaffolding up but the board is already up on the 3rd rung!
This top view shows that the foundation work is now complete with a finish coat of concrete on it. The earth will eventually cover all of this. It’s a stable easy work surface for now.
This shows how the wall rises from the foundation. This back portion won’t be seen but still needs to be structurally sound.
The rebar no longer seems so tall. I think we are, perhaps, over 50% done at this point. There is a lot of finishing work though so it is a bit slower going but we are making steady progress.

I will end with two artistic photos as all of the wall ones are grey and brown. These two photos are full of colour; each in their own way.

Only 4 long days left though before our weekends evaporate for a while so we really need to push hard to the end.

Not to worry — you have your own big project.
