“Snocean”

The upside to the ever blowing prairie wind is the awesome creations it makes with snow. I seriously dislike when the wind howls, especially for days on end. It is during those times that I wonder why we moved out into the country where the full force of it pounds you.  There are times when it creates serious havoc but occasionally it also creates beauty.

I’ll huff and I’ll puff

and I’ll blow your path right in

so speaks mighty wind

I love walking on the snow after the wind has been blowing as it sculpts the snow to look like waves. It’s like a snocean which is a word I made up. It’s obvious in these photos below what I am referring to though. They get all hard and crunchy which makes for decent snow shoeing.

Snow shoe paradise

Light coat and mitts with sunshine

Glad for daylight walk
