Friday night tradition

One of the things about living in the country is that you can’t have
pizza delivered. Which is ok because really we make a killer pizza.

We have a fabulous recipe for MOOSEHEAD Beer Pizza dough. The toppings are cut or cooked and put into bowls on the island. Ron, usually, rolls out the crusts and then everyone makes their own. Our oven can only cook three at a time so we don’t usually all eat exactly at the same time. Except in the summer when we use this awesome BBQ pizza oven that cooks them in 2 mins — seriously! It’s amazingly hot and cooks them beautifully.

The best part of the tradition is that it draws us closer to our adult children. We usually have pizza every Friday but the kids come over every second or third week. It’s a great way to reconnect with the news and plans. There are always dogs underfoot, beer open and laughter abounds.
