There is certainly something to be said for a vacation away from home. There is no “to do list” and no guilt if you stray from what needs to be done. Just to chill out and sit back in the sunshine. Ah –think retirement in a few years! But in the meantime we can just do what we want when we want. Like sleep in or stay up late or have a nap on the comfy outside chair in the sun.
It’s interesting to note that our new home for a week has no wifi access (although it is extremely well appointed) so if we want to touch base with our “reality” (social for me and work for my man) then we have to venture into the real world and seek out a source of connection. Or we could choice to just stay “off the grid” so to speak. Which could force a bit of withdrawal in both of us.
So once again it’s all about the balance. Time to recharge our batteries, connect with each other and explore another world.
And wow we landed in a different world than the one we left behind. The snow and cold of this am was replaced by scorching sun. We might just sit here and try to capture the hummingbird on camera while drinking marguerites!
R and R usually stands for rest and relaxation but it could also stand for recharge and rejuvenate. Or maybe some of all.
